Andrew Kostecki first hit the drag strip in a Ford Telstar that was built as a hobby by himself and his brother, Steve. Originally intended for 9.90 action, performances really jumped when the brothers fitted a 370 Ford that they built themselves, and a Lenco. Performances were such that the decision was made to step into Pro Stock, which was fun for a while but then Andrew wanted to return to racing speedway sprint cars.
